            Our Solar Energy Department is one of the leading and specialized training sections at our institute, offering a comprehensive training program that meets the needs of both the Saudi and global job markets in renewable energy fields. The program focuses on providing participants with the necessary knowledge and skills to design, install, and maintain solar energy systems, including advanced hands-on training that enhances the trainees' ability to work in this rapidly growing field.


The program is accredited by the Technical and Vocational Training Corporation (TVTC), and the institute is registered and approved by Saudi Aramco, providing graduates with strong career opportunities in the largest industrial sectors, including companies involved in renewable energy, construction, and electrical industries.
The course lasts for 6 months, integrating language training, foundational knowledge, and specialized field training. Trainees begin by improving their English language skills, then learn the basics of solar energy before transitioning to hands-on training in the installation and maintenance of solar energy systems. The program aims to equip trainees with the skills needed to work efficiently in this advanced sector.

Objective:
      The course aims to train participants on the necessary skills and knowledge to design and implement solar energy systems, with a focus on their applications in electricity generation.

 

Main Content:

1- Introduction to Renewable Energy

· Details: At the beginning of the course, participants will be introduced to renewable energy sources in general. The course covers the definition of solar energy and its importance as an alternative to traditional energy. It also explores other types of renewable energy, such as wind and hydro power.

· Topic: Introduction to Renewable Energy

2- Understanding Solar Power Technologies

· Details: The course explains how solar energy is converted into electricity. It covers the basics of solar panel technology and how it is used to generate electricity, heat, and solar fuels, with a primary focus on electricity production.

· Topic: Solar Power Fundamentals

3- Practical Applications of Solar Energy

· Details: Hands-on training on how to apply solar energy systems in real-world applications such as street lighting, small homes, or other small-scale projects relying on solar power.

· Topic: Renewable Energy Fundamentals and Applications

4- Designing a Solar Energy 

· Details: Participants will learn how to design complete Solar Energy s, starting with load calculations to determine the energy required and moving on to selecting appropriate components such as solar panels, inverters, and batteries.

5- Maintenance and Troubleshooting

· Details: Participants will learn how to properly install Solar Energy s and maintain them. The training includes learning how to detect faults and perform simple repairs to maintain the system's efficiency.

6- Main Components of a Solar Energy 

· Details: The training focuses on understanding the main components of a Solar Energy , such as solar panels, inverters, electrical panels, cables, and how to connect these components together to create an effective solar energy system.

     Participants will be taught about various renewable energy sources and their importance, with a focus on the characteristics of solar energy.

    Understanding how solar energy is converted into electricity and how it can be effectively used in different systems.

    Learning how to design solar panel systems based on energy needs for various locations, such as homes and streets.

4- Troubleshooting and System Maintenance:

Details: Learn how to diagnose common faults in Solar Energy s, such as issues with inverters, panels, or batteries, and how to repair them effectively.

5- Wiring and Connections Exercise:

Details: Learn how to choose the right wiring for electrical loads and understand how to connect various components in the solar panel system.

6- Applied Project:

Details: Design and implement an applied project for three home rooms that includes installing solar panels, inverters, and batteries, as well as solar-powered street lighting.
